The exhibition shows artists who are mainly engaged in Post-Urban-Art and who have detached themselves from their original medium, the spray can, and developed in their own individual way.
The artists have all equally taken their first artistic paths in urban space. Building on this, they developed in different directions. It is important to us to present these styles of post-urban art to an interested audience.
Exhibition dates 19. Jun – 18. Jul 2020 Vernissage 18. Jun 2020 | 19-22 Opening hours by appointment
Without harmony there is no dissonance and without dissonance there is no harmony! KERAs new works are still about abstraction, surface and graphics. Like a composer, he joins together various individual surfaces to create a harmonious and at the same time enthralling oeuvre.
Three befriended galleries, eight special artists, one theme: OLD INTO NEW. Classic positions meet new interpretations and familiar themes are challenged by new perspectives. As the Kiel-Leipzig gallery cooperation, we show new works by selected artists in the wonderfully historic ambience of the Barlach Halle K in the middle of Hamburg.
The exhibition “Just Say You Love Me” is, according to her own statement, one of the most personal exhibitions Nina Hannah Kornatz has ever realized. This show is an attempt at a narrative. Each work stands for itself as an assertion. As a whole, the works tell us a common story. The artist leaves it up to the viewer to grasp its references and background.
The “UrbanArt Biennale®” presents the best urban artists in the world at the world Cultural Heritage and is the world’s largest urban art exhibition. Every two years, the European Center for Art and Industrial Culture presents the latest developments and positions of this art of the 21st century.
